History of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton was born in 1774 and established the first Catholic girls school and the Sisters of Charity. Called “Mother Seton”, a number of schools are named for her including Seton Hall University, Seton Hill University, and Elizabeth Seton High School.
